2019 NFL Mock Draft: Chargers find successor for Philip Rivers
By Brad Weiss
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the NFL world buzzing through the first two weeks of the season, as Ryan Fitzpatrick was racking up yards through the air, and they were beating teams like the New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles. However, Fitz Magic ran out pretty quickly, like it usually does, and the team has since gone back to Jameis Winston.
Winston missed the first three weeks due to suspension, but made his first start of the season this past weekend against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs hung in there against the Falcons, despite being down 24-13 at the half, but in the end, the Falcons offense proved to be too much for this Tampa Bay defense.
During the 2019 NFL Draft, the Bucs could be picking in the top-10 of the first round, and they may want to bring in a player to improve their secondary. One player who could really help them is Greedy Williams from LSU, who is the best cover cornerback in the draft class, and has star written all over him.
The Bucs are getting older at cornerback, and Williams would be a perfect fit for them, especially in the pass-happy NFC South. It could be another year in the cellar of the division for Tampa Bay, but if Winston can improve, and they add talent this offseason, they could be a playoff team in 2019.
