Defense: Minnesota Vikings

FanDuel Cost: $4,600

On paper this isn’t a great play for fantasy purposes. The Minnesota Vikings defense has had their problems this year and the New York Jets have had some nice offensive output. However, I’m going with my gut this week.

Mike Zimmer is one of the brighter defensive minds in the league and knows how to work against a rookie quarterback.

Sam Darnold has looked good so far, but he has also had his rookie moments. The Vikings will have a chance to put pressure on the young quarterback and force some mistakes. It could be a long day for the rookie.

Backup Option: Indianapolis Colts

vs. Buffalo Bills, Sunday 1:00pm

FanDuel Cost: $4,100

Josh Allen has been ruled out with an injury which means the Buffalo Bills are going with either Derek Anderson or Nate Peterman. Anderson is new to the team which means Peterman could get another starting shot.

Peterman has been complete disaster when in the lineup. He has struggled with both inaccuracy and turnovers.

The Indianapolis Colts have given up over 30 points per game, but this is an opportunity for their defense to improve that number. This is both a solid and cost saving play in daily fantasy lineups.
