Hey guys! Week 6 is in the books and I hope all of the articles here at FantasyCPR helped you cash out big! Now lets dive in to Week 7 as our Week 6 Lock Plays were on point except for one player! Good luck!

Recap of Fantasy Football Week 6 “Lock Plays”

I think I have figured out another season long Fantasy Football tip to avoid a lock play disappointing. Besides avoiding all San Francisco 49ers players, I’m also going to avoid any Quarterback facing the Pittsburgh Steelers unless it’s Drew Brees. Last week, Andy Dalton finished with 17.16 points against the Steelers and disappointed us just like Matt Ryan did in Week 5 against the same exact team. Lesson learned. Now on to the good stuff! Todd Gurley II did Gurley things and finished with 39.50 points while Julio Jones still hasn’t found the end-zone but finished with 27.30 points. The tight-end position paid off well as Austin Hooper finished with 22.10 points and JuJu Smith-Schuster finished with 23.10 points. Overall, we had a great week with the bounce back and lets continue it going into Week 7!

Fantasy Football Week 7 “Lock Plays”

Todd Gurley II

Salary: Draftkings: $9,800 | Fanduel: $10,200

Usually when a player continues to dominate, their price tag goes up but not this week. Gurley is a lock due to his pure dominance but also because his price tag dropped to $9,800. Having yet to disappoint at any time or drop below 20 fantasy points, Gurley gets to face the San Francisco 49ers, a defense that is very confusing to say the least. Allowing only 98 yards rushing but allowing 279 yards through the air, this is still a prime match-up. Gurley may not being able to rush for another 200 yards like he did last week, but he’ll easily be able to help dominate through the air. On Monday Night Football, the 49ers were able to put up an amazing fight against the Green Bay Packers and with this being a divisional match-up, we may see the same but it is against the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers have only given up a hundred yards rushing to one running-back who was Melvin Gordon, similar to Gurley and how he is used. Expect Gurley to not slow down any time soon as no defense has yet to figure out how to stop him. He’ll either get it done on the ground or through the air.

David Njoku

Salary: Draftkings: $4,200 | Fanduel: $5,700

Attack the Tampa Bay Buccaneers every week with whoever they are facing at the tight-end position. Last week we saw Austin Hooper go off for 71 yards with a touchdown and we can expect a similar result this weekend with Njoku. Mayfield and Njoku have been working on a pretty nice chemistry the past two weeks with double digit targets and a touchdown last week against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Buccaneers are still dead last in passing defense, allowing 355 yards through the air but that may change soon as they have fired Mike Smith and have promoted Mark Duffner to defensive coordinator. But I don’t see that being an instant change to where we have to worry about this week. This game should be a shoot out as Jameis Winston can keep his team in it or even ahead to where Baker Mayfield has to rely on his arm more and Njoku becoming a beneficiary to that.

Adam Thielen

Salary: Draftkings: $8,600 | Fanduel: $8,700

Expect Todd Gurley II and Adam Thielen in every “Lock Play” article until the season ends, please. Once again, Adam Thielen recorded his sixth straight hundred yard receiving game last week against the Arizona Cardinals. He won’t be stopped. This week, he gets to face the New York Jets who rank 22nd in pass defense, allowing 272 yards per game so far. In six games, the Jets have given up a hundred yards receiving to five different receivers. Expect nothing to change this weekend. You can expect another 30+ fantasy point game for Thielen and can expect Cousins to find his best friend in the end-zone once again also.

Devin Funchess

Salary: Draftkings: $5,300 | Fanduel $6,400

Coming from a quiet team in the Fantasy Football World, Devin Funchess is up next. While the Carolina Panthers are still trying to figure out their ways, they get to face the defending Superbowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have a passing defense ranked 23rd, giving up 273 yards through the air and have allowed 6 different receivers to catch for over a hundred yards. Now Funchess hasn’t been the most appealing wide receiver on any slate as he has only found the end-zone twice and has dropped below 10 fantasy points in two different weeks already. But with the Panthers wanting to make a statement and against the defending champions, expect Cam Newton to find Funchess on Sunday. He gets the targets and has a 63% of catching whatever is thrown his way, this should be a prime spot for him.

Jared Goff

Salary: Draftkings: $6,600 | Fanduel: $8,300

Targeting the Quarterback who is facing the San Francisco 49ers isn’t a hard thing to do, especially when that Quarterback is Jared Goff. Goff had a bad week in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos with only scoring 8.44 fantasy points but Todd Gurley’s dominance was also a huge part in that as Goff wasn’t needed or relied on. This week though, we can expect a huge bounce back performance. The 49ers are ranked 25th in pass defense, allowing 279 yards through the air, and they can not figure out how to stop any opposing quarterback. Phillip Rivers dropped 22.7 fantasy points, Matt Stafford with 28.96, Kirk Cousins with 20.26, and Patrick MaGOAT with 28.6 while Josh Rosen had only 10.6 against them. Goff may be without Cooper Kupp once again but he still has Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, and the monster Todd Gurley II. If the San Francisco 49ers can stay in this game like they did with the Green Bay Packers, expect Goff to put up amazing numbers for the day.
