Welcome to this edition of PGA DFS Golf Fanduel Targets from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for this weekend’s action, geared for cash games and tournament plays on Fanduel.

In this article, I will present to you some PGA DFS Golf players to consider for Fanduel, for this weeks CJ Cup at the Nine Bridges Golf Club, on Jeju Island, South Korea . These picks will be broken down into three price tiers. Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP. Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in. I will give two players to target from the $10K-$13K, two targets from the $9K-$10K range, and two from the $8-9K range. Also don’t forget about those Bonus GPP Flyers at the very end.

***This weeks CJ Cup is a no-cut, 78 player event. All participants will play all four rounds assuming there are no withdrawals during play.***

PGA DFS Golf Top Tier Targets: ($10,000 – $13,000)

Brooks Koepka – $12,300 – (GPP)

Of course we could take the easy route here and just write-up Justin Thomas, because even at over $13K, he will be chalk in cash games again this week. So let’s start there and move on. Play JT in cash. There is plenty of talent priced way too low not to here. With that said, I don’t mind fading Thomas for tournament play, as he pretty much needs the win this weekend to pay off his salary.

On the contrary, Koepka returns to action, and while I think he is a bit risky for cash games, he is the perfect GPP play. He ranks as a top play this week, coming off a 2018 season in which he was the PGA player of the year, with two major championship victories. He seemed to almost tune out last year in some of these smaller events, but if Koepka can stay focused, he can contend this weekend.

Marc Leishman – $11,700 – (Cash)

It was slightly touched on above, but there is really a nice chuck of golfers below $10K that are in play this weekend. With that in mind, paying up for JT and Leishman is not at all hard. However, if you are a balanced type cash team preferred, that is obviously a different story. Normally I am just that, but this week with the pricing of some players, it makes it incredibly easy to fit the top locks of the weekend in my cash lineup. I am currently debating between two different cash lineups, so I will probably ending trying out both strategies.

So about Leishman. The Aussie is coming off of a monster -26 performance for a five-stroke victory at last weeks CIMB Classic, and returns to the CJ Cup after losing in a playoff to Justin Thomas in last years inaugural event. While I write him up as cash only here, he is also a viable GPP play as well. At his price tag though, he might need to pull off back-to-back victories to win somebody a GPP.

***Also Consider: Louis Oosthuizen (GPP) $10,600 – Cameron Smith (Cash) $10,000***

PGA DFS Golf: Mid Tier Targets: ($9,000 – $10,000)

Byeong-Hun An – $9,700 – (Cash/GPP)

In the mid-tier this week, let’s first look to a native South Korean in An. I like An in both cash and GPP formats this week, due to the fact he may be slightly overlooked with all of the other talent in this price range. For starters, An was solid in the inaugural event here last year, which was highlighted by gusting winds and tough conditions. An was able to shoot -4, which was good for a T-11. He was back in action last week at the CIMB Classic, where he shot first and final rounds of 66. A -2 and a -4 were sandwiched in there, as An finished -18 good for a T-13. While he may be the home favorite, a great pivot lies in our next target.

Tyrell Hatton – $9,600 – (Cash)

Hatton is still somewhat of split player between the European and PGA Tours. He will be making his CJ Cup debut this weekend coming off of a solid ending to his 2018 PGA season, and a near victory last weekend at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Hatton was seeking back-to-back victories in the European Tour event, but slipped a bit near the finish, and ended up in a tie for second with fellow Englishman and Ryder Cup hero Tommy Fleetwood. He should be chalky at this price, but Hatton is a known top-20 machine. He finished the 2018 PGA season with three top-20’s in his last four events, including his impressive T-10 at the PGA Championship. A golfer with a tendency to excel on day four of a tournament is what you want with your cash teams, and Hatton fits that bill to a T.

PGA DFS Golf Low Tier Targets: ($8,000 – $9,000)

Abraham Ancer – $8,700 – (Cash/GPP)

Fanduel really gave us a few gifts salary wise this weekend, with at least three solid targets below $9K. Let’s start with the red-hot Mexican-American product Abraham Ancer. The 27-year-old finished his 2018 FedEx Cup season by notching three top-10’s from the span of July until September, with the final one coming at the Dell Technologies Championship in early September. He started the 2019 season last week with a bang, firing -20 total, good for a T-5 finish. With the way his game looked last week at TPC Kuala Lumpur, I expect to him keep rolling along in the smaller field tournaments, and contending.

Sungjae Im – $8,400 – (Cash/GPP)

Our last target will likely be the cheap chalk this week in cash games, as everyone will once again scramble to fit Justin Thomas in their lineups. If you are not familiar with Im yet it is time to be. The 20-year-old South Korean native from right here on Jeju Island should be fired up to compete in his home country, after spending last year on the road, dominating the Web.com tour.

Im notched two victories, along with three additional runners-up, on his way to being the leading regular season money winner of the entire tour. He was impressive in his debut at the Safeway Open two weeks ago where he T-4, and more good play could lead to more opportunities on the PGA tour for the youngster. Lock in Im in all formats as salary relief, as he is the real deal, and should easily at least top-20 here, if he can handle the pressures of returning home amidst all of the success last season.
