High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Steph Curry (at UTA – $9,600): Needs 41.3 fantasy points. The Jazz have a stout defense, but is it possible that Curry is better than his already insane form? He’s not missing shots and he’s making it look easier than ever. He was brutal in a game against Utah last season, but I’m not doubting Curry right now. Durant might be the best player on the team, but Curry is the most impactful. Diagnosis: Extremely high ceiling and when he’s rolling, there’s little anyone can do to stop him. And he’s been rolling since preseason.

Kemba Walker (at ORL – $8,800): Needs 37.9 fantasy points. Kemba went off against the Bucks, finished with 52.4 fantasy points. Walker doesn’t have a ton of help in Charlotte and that means he’ll do a lot of the work for them. He can look like the best point guard in the world one night and then not show up the next. But I like his chances to look like the best point guard in the world again against the Magic. Diagnosis: Great matchup and playing with a big chip on his shoulder. Someone has to score for Charlotte.

Elfrid Payton (vs SAC – $7,000): Needs 30.1 fantasy points Payton had 39 fantasy points against the Rockets on opening night. Offense has never been a problem for Payton and now that he’s surrounded by actual talent, maybe we’ll start to see a new side of him? He certainly looked the part on opening night. Holiday playing better will take away from his overall impact, but there was a lot to like from him against the Rockets. Diagnosis: Good matchup and showed he can put up numbers in all categories.
