Cardiff and Fulham will both be seeking a much needed win on Saturday, as both teams have started the Premier League season in less than ideal form.

Cardiff have yet to win a game in the league this season, and the hosts will seek to gain an all important three points in the fight to stay alive in England’s top flight. They have witnessed a harsh welcome to the rigors to the Premier League, losing handily to teams like Manchester City and Chelsea. They’ve been able to manage a few scoreless draws so far, but a win has eluded them. A streak of five straight losses for Cardiff could end at home on Saturday, but they’ll likely need to play their best game of the season in order to do it.

Fulham’s first season back in the Premier League generated a great deal of hype, hype that was only made greater by their activity in the transfer window. The new signings haven’t quite translated into the success that Fulham have hoped for, as they are currently in 17th place, one spot away from the relegation zone. A loss on Saturday could mean the difference between staying up and being relegated at the end of the season, showing the importance of every single game on the Premier League’s set of fixtures.

Both of these teams were promoted into the league this season, and they both have experienced a tough beginning to life in the top flight. There’s still time for both Fulham and Cardiff to turn things around, and winning this game would be a huge step in the right direction for either team.
