College GameDay headed out west for a huge Pac-12 matchup between the Oregon Ducks and Washington State Cougars, and these were the best signs from Pullman.

The Oregon Ducks took control of the Pac-12 last week with a win over the Washington Huskies. However, they have more aspirations than just that as they’d love to get into the College Football Playoff picture. As such, it was a natural choice for ESPN’s College GameDay to head to Pullman in Week 8 as they went to face the 5-1 Washington State Cougars on Saturday.

Taking GameDay to the west coast is always an intriguing affair. Because the show starts at 9 a.m. ET, that means that fans have to be out there before dawn. Thus, you know that you’re going to get a passionate bunch of fans in such a case. Throw in the passion of the fans in Pullman to begin with, that only makes it better.

There’s plenty of reason to be excited about this game as well. Both the Oregon and Washington State offenses are high-octane and can put up massive amounts of points. As such, they’re likely going to put a show on in Pullman. When you then factor in the fact that these are two 5-1 teams in an up-for-grabs Pac-12, and there’s no question that this is going to be a fun one on Saturday night.
