High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

LeBron James (vs HOU – $11,700):Needs 48.8 fantasy points. James was undervalue on opening night, finishing with 46.4 fantasy points. I still don’t have a great read on the Lakers, but the Rockets looked all out of sorts on opening night. LeBron remains LeBron and you know he’s going to get his numbers. With the way the Rockets defense looked, it could be a big night for the King. Diagnosis: First game in Los Angeles, LeBron will want to show out. And if the Rockets defense doesn’t come to play, show out he will.

Kawhi Leonard (at WAS – $9,300): Needs 38.8 fantasy points. Leonard had 47.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Friday. The Raptors are on a back-to-back and on the road, but Leonard is a robot, right? He looks healthy and back to form to start the season, which is bad news for the rest of the East. The Wizards are a mess despite their obvious talent and the Raptors are as consistent as they come. Diagnosis: Playing well, high upside, and a favorable matchup.

Josh Richardson (vs CHA – $7,100): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Richardson is the best player in Miami. He’s putting up numbers in all categories and looks even better than he did last season. The Hornets are on a back-to-back and playing on the road. He played very well against Charlotte last season, averaging 34.2 fantasy points in four games. Diagnosis: A matchup he’s done well against and with the way he’s playing, there’s no reason to doubt him.
