FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 21, 2018
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
James Harden (at LAC – $11,700):Needs 47.6 fantasy points. Harden has been over 50 fantasy points in both games to start the season. If Chris Paul is indeed suspended, it’s going to be the Harden show once again against the Clippers. That’s good news for DFS players and bad news for the Clippers. The back-to-back is a bit worrying, but at least the Rockets don’t have to travel. Diagnosis: No Chris Paul should mean big things for Harden on Sunday. Another 50-plus fantasy point game seems likely.
Dennis Schroder (vs SAC – $7,000):Needs 28.5 fantasy points. Schroder had a night to forget against the Clippers on Oct. 19. He’s too good of a player and gets too many opportunities to score and pass to have another outing like that against the Kings. The return of Westbrook will lighten his load, but put him against more favorable matchups. Diagnosis: The salary might be too high if Westbrook is back and he comes off the bench. He has a high ceiling, but I’d like to see how he’s going to handle the duties of the sixth man before getting him at this salary.
Buddy Hield (at OKC – $6,500):Needs 26.4 fantasy points. Hield comes in under the salary limit, but it’s a slow night at the shooting guard position. And it’s a great opportunity for Hield to continue what’s been a good start for him. He’s performed well against OKC last season (averaged 33.2 fantasy points in three games he was able to finish) and he’s the type of scoring guard who can hurt OKC when they don’t have Andre Roberson. Diagnosis: Good matchup, but the salary might be a tad too high. Should at least give you value.
