FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 22, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Steph Curry (vs PHO – $10,200): Needs 43.6 fantasy points. The Warriors are on a back-to-back, but they are at home against the Suns. I’m not too worried about fatigue given the matchup. Curry had 41.8 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Sunday. He’s still the best offensive player on the team and scoring has not been an issue for him thus far. His assists numbers were down because the Warriors need to get Curry some help. Diagnosis: Fantastic matchup for Steph. The salary might be a tad too high, but it’s never a bad idea to take great players against the Suns.
Kyle Lowry (vs CHA – $8,400): Needs 35.9 fantasy points. Lowry had 51.6 fantasy points against the Wizards on Oct. 20. Kawhi Leonard didn’t play, which helped his numbers, but there’s no denying how impactful Lowry has been this season and even going back to last season. He’s been tasked with a bigger role in the offense and he’s handled it with perfect. The Hornets are a great matchup and Lowry should be able to put up numbers in all categories. Diagnosis: Good matchup for a guy who gets points and assists while chipping in with rebounds. The Raptors are a team to stack.
Lonzo Ball (vs SA – $6,800): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. With Rajon Rondo suspended for a handful of games, Lonzo Ball will be the starter. He hasn’t been great in the first two games of the season, but as the starter, he’s going to see more time next to LeBron, which means more opportunities to score and pick up assists. He was great against the Spurs last season, averaging 48 fantasy points in two games. Diagnosis: Extra minutes and opportunity, plus a matchup he’s done well against, bode well for Lonzo. On the low end of high salary guys as well.
