. Defensive Tackle. Houston. Ed Oliver. 2. player. 32

The Arizona Cardinals are in the middle of a very rough season, and things got much worse this past Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos defense looked like the one that led them to a Super Bowl title a couple of years back, harassing Josh Rosen all game long, and blowing the Cardinals out in front of their home crowd by 35 points.

There is no way the Cardinals fight for a playoff spot this season, and they are likely headed towards the top of the 2019 NFL Draft. Luckily for them, there are some elite players coming out next April, and one can really help them get better in the interior of their defensive line immediately.

That player is Ed Oliver, who has been a dominant defensive tackle for Houston over the last three seasons. Oliver is the kind of guy who can literally push offensive linemen around, and with his blend of strength and size, he is going to be a guy who is going to come into the league and be a disruptive force from day one.

The Cardinals moved up to pick Rosen in the 2018 NFL Draft, and all signs point to him being a franchise quarterback down the line. This team has a lot of holes, including along the offensive line, so it will be interesting to see what line they bolster, the defense, or the offense with their top pick in 2019.
