FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Cash Picks: Oct 29th

What’s up DFS squad welcome back to another addition of my first look Fanduel Daily Fantasy basketball Cash picks. Hope you guys had a great Sunday; Sundays are the days where I focus only on NFL DFS so those days I will be not normally be making an article. I will try to post NFL and NBA picks I like for the day so remember to give me a follow on twitter @dfs_joey for all my twitter updates throughout the day when injury news comes in; cash games plays always change. When injury news comes out some of these plays become more GPP just because they aren’t the best anymore, but they are still go plays so I try to keep having exposure to these guys.

Tonight we have a 9 game slate perfect for cash games. It looks like most of these games don’t have much blowout risk and some very important injury news we need to monitor. The slate will definitely be influenced depending on the Anthony Davis and Giannis Antetokounmpo news.

Current Vegas information

For those of you who don’t know the importance of Vegas lines in DFS let me give you a brief explanation.  We can see games like Philly and Golden State are projected to be high scoring but if you look at the spread we can predict that this game could become a blowout so we don’t want to stack them because it may appear that the starters won’t play full minutes. Then we look at the Lakers game that has the highest total on the slate and should stay close according to Vegas which is perfect for stacking.

Portland (+3.5) @  Indiana(-3.5)  219 O/U

Atlanta (+11.0) @ Philadelphia (-11.0) 229.5 O/U

Sacramento (+8.0) @ Miami (-8.0) 227 O/U

Brooklyn(+2) @ New York (-2) 216.5 O/U

Golden State(-11) @ Chicago (-11) 230.5 O/U

Toronto @ Milwaukee no line yet

LA Lakers (+1) @ Minnesota (-1) 238.5 O/U

 Dallas (+6.5) @ San Antonio (-6.5) 216.5 O/U

New Orleans @ Denver No line yet

We are still waiting on lines for a couple of games right now. NO is still waiting on the Davis news and the Mil is still waiting  on the Giannis news. So currently the Lakers Timberwolves game has the highest game total and should be a close game.

FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Cash Picks: Oct 29th

Point Guard

Top Tier

Ben Simmons 10.5k: So this game might get out of hand which scares me but if Simmons is able to get good minutes he is in a great spot. Atlanta is in the bottom half of the league in shooting which will lead to many rebounding opportunities. They also shoot the 6th most 3 pointers in the league which will turn into long rebounds perfect for Simmons to grab. He could be looking at a triple double upside game.

Middle Tier

Dennis Smith Jr 6.4k: He has one of the best match-ups on the slate. Smith is going up against a banged up Point Guard team with the Spurs. Since Murray, who is an amazing defender, has went down with injury and is done for the season the Spurs have been lost guarding the PG who are in the bottom 10% in scoring. GPP Pivot: Jeff Teague

Cheap Tier

Derrick Rose 4.8k: If we get news that Andrew Wiggins is out (before lock hopefully) load up on Rose. He is playing in the highest game total on the slate and will be relied on more and more. I could see him having a huge game in this spot. I love what we have been seeing out of Rose this year he is one of my favorite players in the league and I’m glad he’s overcome all this adversity to finally find a home once again.

Shooting Guard

Top Tier

Demar DeRozan 8.8k: Choosing my favorite top-tier SG play today was tough and I’m not 100% married to the choice yet. DeRozen is leading the league in minutes played and has a 30% usage rate. He is able to accumulate rebounds and assists in high numbers to go along with his 27.2 PPG. He has the potential to score while grabbing boards and dishing out assists making him be able to have one of the top floors of all the shooting guards on the slate.

Khris Middleton 7.5k: I wanted to add this play just In case Giannis Antetokounmpo sits. Middleton put up huge numbers last year with Antetokounmpo out and I don’t see that changing this year. The first game last year that Giannis was out he put up 40 points with 26 shots taken and was aggressive with 11 FTs. This ceiling is crazy for a guy that’s 7.5k. With the amount of shots he was trying to create gives him a perfect cash floor.

Middle Tier

Rodney McGruder 5.6k: I think I’m going to do it one more time and this will be the last game I play him but I still think he is playable at that price. He plays Sacramento who gives up 6th most rebounds to shooting guards in the league, which fits perfectly into McGruder’s game and upside. Wayne Ellington was active last game, but did not play we should be monitoring him throughout the day.

Cheap Tier

Ian Clark 3.5k: It seems like Clark will take the starting and main point guard roles in the offense with Elfrid Payton out. Clark did not appear to play many minutes in the last game but the game turned into a blowout and thy didn’t play him in blowout minutes which makes me more confident he will be the one playing big minutes for the team during Payton’s absence.

Small Forward

My fade of the day is Lebron James. Last year LeBron got shut down by Jimmy Butler in 1 of 2 games they played last year. I can’t trust LeBron at that price to produce a 30 point triple double or get enough defensive stats to be a great play at that price.

Top Tier

Kawhi Leonard 9.8k: I don’t like a lot of these other studs at SF on this slate for multiple reasons in cash games so we are left with Leonard as the only cash playable top SF on this slate. Leonard is reminding people just how dominate he can be. He might just be the best 2 way player in the league and his defensive stats are showing it already early in the season. He has gotten at least one steal in 4 out of 5 games played and 2 steals in 3 of them. We have to wait on the status of the Greek Freak, but if he’s ruled out then Leonard may just become chalk while receiving a huge bump at that spot.

More from FanSided

Middle Tier

Nikola Mirotic 7.3k: With Anthony Davis questionable for tonight’s game it would give a huge boost to Mitrotic if he were to be out. We have a 1 games sample size from last year when Davis was out and Mirotic put up 26/10 with no peripherals. Last game with Davis out he was about to put together 25/8. In only 28 minutes because the game became out of hand.

Cheap Tier

Deandre Bembry 4.4k: So with all the injuries to the Hawks it looks like Bembry will need to play good minutes again. His steal upside is there and managed to reach 22 points with only 1 rebound. They will need to play Bembry more this game to combat the Philly big lineups they play. This game could turn ugly in the 4th quarter but good news is Bembry plays blowout minutes so he may be able to get you those garbage time points too with everyone chucking shots at the end of the game.

Power Forward

Of course if Anthony Davis is playing he is the top PF choice on the slate without a doubt, but we have to prepare for both situations.

Top Tier

LaMarcus Aldridge 8.7k: I’m expecting a nice bounce back game for Aldridge tonight against the Mavs. Recency bias will drop his ownership down a ton but with no other good PFs to pay up for this is a perfect spot to hop back onto the Aldridge train. He’s going up against a Dallas team that likes to shoot the ball a ton so look for high rebounding numbers tonight.

Middle Tier

Taj Gibson 5.3k: Gibson has been a point per minute beast recently and this game should be much closer than the recent games he’s played him so a would suspect an uptick in minutes. Gibson seems to be trying to pick up the slack for KAT so far this season and in a good matchup he could kill his salary in value.

Cheap Tier

Ersan Ilyasova 4.1k: If Giannis Antetokounmpo is out for the Bucks it looks like Ersan will be filling his role. With Giannis out it appeared Ersan got the bulk of the PF minutes past game. Wait to see who receives the start between John Henson and Ersan Ilyasova and play them for nice salary relief.

Center

Top Tier

Nikola Jokic 10.3k: Well they finally moved him back to center and it comes in a perfect spot. If Anthony Davis is out I don’t see anyone being able to stop him. Last game when Davis was out Rudy Gobert put up huge numbers against this team. Jokic could be instore for an amazing game.

Middle Tier

Javale McGee 6.6k: McGee will see a great matchup against Karl-Anthony Towns. McGee is one of the best PPM players in the NBA and in a great matchup  he should easily hit value. The only thing that scares me is with Brandon Ingram back from suspension he could see a little less minutes, but they just lowered his price to account for that. GPP Pivot: Enes Kanter

Cheap Tier

Dewayne Dedmon 4.5k: There’s no one I really like at cheap for center as of now but if you were to go cheap Dedmon would be your guy. It appears that he’s starting to get more minutes than Len and rightfully so. He put up a double double last game to go along with 5 blocks. He’s currently more of a GPP play with the match-up but he could be a very nice play.
