NFL quarterback rankings, Week 9: Russell Wilson shines
Jay Fiedler Division
29. C.J. Beathard (LW: 29)
Beathard makes some quality throws, but there are far too many mistakes. The former Iowa hand already has seven interceptions while hitting just 60.4 percent of his throws. Beathard is doing a decent job for a backup, but that’s the best compliment you can give here.
28. Sam Darnold (LW: 26)
Darnold isn’t playing well enough to elevate the play of those around him. The Jets are missing a ton of guys on the outside and in the backfield, and that has resulted in Darnold struggling across the board. Tough to be excited about a 55.2 completion rate with 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
27. Josh Rosen (LW: 28)
Rosen was able to lead the first fourth-quarter comeback of his career on Sunday, beating the hapless 49ers for a season sweep. The former UCLA star has been under incredible pressure all year long and while nobody is excited about 5.36 yards per pass attempt with five touchdowns and six interceptions, the talent is there.
26. Case Keenum (LW: 27)
Keenum hasn’t been able to avoid turnovers, and it’s killing Denver. The Broncos have not played a game yet where Keenum hasn’t thrown an interception yet. It’s nowhere near good enough.
