The Detroit Pistons will continue on their early season trip through the Northeast when they pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

The Detroit Pistons have seemingly found their groove.

They were always going to be known as one of the Eastern Conference’s wildcard teams. They have the talent to be among the conference’s best squads, but if they would come together to form this unit remained to be seen.

Now, we see it, and it has produced results.

Standing at a surprising 4-1, the Pistons, led by Blake Griffin, are a fun bunch to watch, and when they’re on the screen, you can’t take your eyes off of them. That was the case prior to their blowout defeat at the hands of the still-searching Boston Celtics on Saturday, which happened to be their first loss of the season.

Now, the Pistons look to kick back into high gear on their current three-game trek through the Northeast, which began Tuesday night in Boston and will continue with a stop in Brooklyn to face the struggling Nets.

Brooklyn (2-5) has become the exact opposite of the Pistons. Before the season began, it was thought around the league that the Nets may have a remote chance at being competitive this season.

To their credit, the Nets have been competitive. They played the defending champion Golden State Warriors and the surging New Orleans Pelicans tough, but it still hasn’t translated to victories, and while it’s still early in the season, it seems as if the Nets are running out of time to make the changes needed to, at the very least, be a bottom-seed playoff contender.
