1. Josh Gordon, New England Patriots

There’s a good chance that, after being acquired by the New England Patriots, Josh Gordon was already scooped up in your fantasy league. But in the off chance that he hasn’t been, you should grab him for a little extra (or maybe a lot extra) wide receiver value in your lineup.

It seems like just about every week, Gordon becomes more and more involved with Tom Brady and the New England offense. He had his best game with the Patriots two weeks ago against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, when he hauled in four receptions for 100 yards. As the Patriots continue through their second half of the season trying to chase down the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC, it only makes sense that Gordon’s workload would continue to increase.

Brady’s favorite target will always be Julian Edelman, but a healthy Gordon is a pretty great No. 2 option to have. As long as Gordon remains healthy, and doesn’t get benched for showing up late to practice and stuff like that, his production should continue to increase as the season goes along.

I would never even think to compare Gordon to the likes of Hall of Famer and former Patriot Randy Moss, but I can’t help shake the feeling that sooner or later, Gordon is going to explode for one of those classic Randy Moss-like games in which he’ll notch over 200 yards receiving and something like four touchdowns, with one of them being at least a 70-yard heave from Brady. It just seems like it has to happen at some point, and wouldn’t it be really cool if Gordon was on your fantasy team when it did happen?

Like I said, Gordon has probably already been picked up in your league. But if somehow he hasn’t been, what the heck are you waiting for?
