Draftkings NBA Point Guards

Damian Lillard ($9,600) Cash

Lillard is going in the highest projected total on the slate and is also the second most expensive player. Lillard has a 29% usage and Vegas is currently projecting this game to be the second highest total on the slate.

Last five games at home before the blowout to the Timberwolves, Lilly produced 48, 45.8, 51.5, 46.5, and 45 DKFP. Lilly has a strong shot to be the highest scoring Point Guard on the slate tonight and will be finding his way into many of my lineup builds.

Isaiah Canaan ($3,800) Cash and GPPs

Canaan has been receiving the start at Point Guard and has been seeing an ample amount of minutes. Last two games, Canaan received 31 and 32 minutes of playing time and produced 19 and 23.8 DKFP. The Nets are also giving up the 8th most points to Points Guards the last five games.

At a price below $4,000 and in a close matchup, sign me up for Canaan with some upside with the news of Warren currently being questionable.

Dennis Smith Jr. ($5,700) Cash

Smith is in an uptempo (+2.63 Pace) versus the Wizards tonight in what Vegas is projecting as a close game (-1). We have been seeing high minutes and double digits attempts in all but one game this season from Smith and he is currently sporting a 26.4% usage.

If Dallas is going to keep this game in check, sign me up for Smith in Cash games.

Other Options: John Wall ($8,800) Cash, D’Angelo Russell ($6,000) Cash

DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards

When it comes to Shooting Guards I typically look for a value play that can open up the studs on the slate. Normally, I find this play closer to lock. Tonight, there are a few value plays at Shooting Guards you can feel confident in.

Bradley Beal ($7,400) Cash

Beal has been on fire the last three games producing 43.5, 37, and 41.3 DKFP. Tonight should not change as he is going against Dallas who are giving up the 9th most points to Shooting Guards the last 5 games. Beal is currently sporting the second highest usage on the team at 26.2% and has been seeing massive minutes the last three games playing 40, 31, and 40 minutes.

Devin Booker ($8,200) Cash

Booker has the highest usage out of all Shooting Guards at 31.5%. He came back from his injury playing over 30 minutes each game shooting 7-of-17 for 34.5 DKFP and 8-of-20 for 35.5 DKFP.  If Booker is going to continue his high shot attempts then sign me up in what is currently an evenly projected matchup.

With Warren being currently listed as questionable, Booker is going to receive a usage bump on top of his already currently massive usage rate.

Wesley Matthews ($5,100) Cash

Matthews is currently just too cheap on Draftkings for the amount of minutes he is playing. Matthews has not seen under 30 minutes the entire season and has been shooting in double digits in every game except the last game. In what is projected to be a close matchup, sign me up for Matthews at a cheap price and lower ownership for Cash games.

Other Options: Malcolm Brogdon ($5,000) Cash, Jeremy Lamb ($5,200) Cash and GPPs

DraftKings NBA Small Forwards

The Small Forward spot on Draftkings can be tricky at times. I generally look for value at this spot but do not try to punt too much. Typically, I try to find a play under $7,100 that can produce around 40 DKFP.

Caris LeVert ($7,200) Cash and GPPs

LeVert has been on fire the last three games producing 36.8, 46.5, and 39.5 DKFP shooting 8-of-20, 10-of-17, and 7-of-16. He has been a staple for my cash games and tonight should not change in an uptempo matchup versus the Suns.

With the Suns weak in the front court , LeVert and the Nets should be looking to take advantage tonight.

Al-Farouq Aminu ($5,400) Cash and GPPs

Aminu is in a great spot tonight as the Bucks are currently given up the 9th most points to Small Forwards in the last 5 games. If the game does not turn into a blowout, Aminu is going to produce value for Cash game consideration and still have room for upside at his cheaper price.

Last two games before the blowout to the Timberwolves, Aminu produced 31.3 and 34 DKFP, tonight I am looking for a similar outcome.

Joe Harris ($4,600) Cash

Sticking with the Nets game, Harris has been excelling at his position and seeing great minutes to go along with it. Last three games Harris produced, 19.8, 28.5, and 32.3 DKFP.  In what is expected to be an even matchup, sign me up for Harris in Cash games versus the Suns.

Other Options: DeAndre’ Bembry ($4,300) Cash

DraftKings NBA Power Forwards

Normally, the Power Forward or the Point Guard is where you find your highest scoring player of the night and where I spend majority of my salary. I look for games that are high and tight, where Vegas is projecting a high total and the game to stay close. Typically, I use those games and target the highest usage and minutes projected players that are in good Defense versus Position match-ups.

Harrison Barnes($5,500) Cash

Barnes is going against Washington who has giving up the 7th most points to Power Forwards the last 5 games. Barnes has not flashed his upside game for GPPs but has shown his ability to be a cash game player.

Barnes has produced 38, 47.25, 35.25, and 44.25 DKFP the last four games versus the Wizards. Barnes has also shot in double digit attempts in every game this season, sign me up.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12,600) Cash

Giannis is in the highest scoring game on the slate. He also has the highest usage on the slate of 34.1% to coincide with being the highest priced player. The one downside I see to Giannis is the strong defense Portland as displayed this season.

Last two games at the Trailblazers, Giannis produced 50.75 and 42 DKFP. If you can find a way to fit him into your line-up build he is a solid play for Cash.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($4,800) Cash and GPPs

RHJ seems to be trending in the right direction lately. Last game he produced 33 DKFP in 30 minutes versus the 76ers shooting 9-of-14.  If we are going to see the same amount of minutes tonight, I am going to be way over the field on RHJ for his current price tag on Draftkings.

Other Options: Omari Spellman ($3,500) Cash

DraftKings NBA
DraftKings NBA: PHOENIX, AZ – OCTOBER 05: Jusuf Nurkic #27 of the Portland Trail Blazers flexes after drawing a foul against the Phoenix Suns during the second half of the NBA preseason game at Talking Stick Resort Arena on October 5, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. Draftkings NBA Centers

Jusuf Nurkic ($6,700) Cash and GPPs

Nurkic has been an absolute beast the last four games producing 39, 39.8, 33.8, and 40 DKFP. Tonight he is in one of the best matchups going against the Bucks who are giving up the 4th most points to Centers the last 5 games.

Last three games versus the Bucks, Nurkic produced 46.75, 41.75, and 37.5. At the highest and closest matchup on the slate, sign me up for Cash games and GPPs with his upside at his price.

Jarrett Allen ($5,200) Cash

Allen is a great spot for Cash tonight as the Suns are giving up the 6th most points to Centers the last 5 games. Allen has also been producing nothing but solid numbers.  Last 7 games Allen produced, 35, 21.5, 25.8, 23, 26.3, 31.3, and 28.5 DKFP. Sign me up for Cash.

Deandre Ayton ($7,500) Cash

Ayton is similar to Allen as he has been a Cash game machine this season. Tonight should not be any different as he faces the Nets in a currently even projected matchup. Last 5 games, Ayton produced 35.5, 47.5, 21.5, 36.3, 43.5, 47.8 and 47.5.

Other Options DeAndre Jordan ($7,900) Cash
