The Atlanta Falcons are hanging in the playoff race, and Matt Ryan is the engine driving that team out of its previous depths.

This week, and every Tuesday of the season, the rankings are based with a combination of current play and performance of an indicator of what is to come.

Dan McGwire Division

32. Nathan Peterman (LW: NA)

This just can’t continue. It can’t. The Bills can sign anybody to replace Peterman’s spot on the roster. Do it for his sake. Do it for the kids. Do it for anybody who values the sport of football.

31. Sam Darnold (LW: 28)

It’s time to start worrying a bit about Darnold. Nobody is saying that Darnold can’t eventually become a good quarterback, but his rookie season has turned into a nightmare. Since Week 1, the USC product has thrown nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. It’s been hideous, and while he has a bad team around him, that’s not an all-encompassing excuse.

30. Blake Bortles (LW: 30)

Bortles didn’t throw an interception or lose a game while amassing fewer than 200 yards, so that’s a win. The down side? Jacksonville was on a bye.
