2019 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders nab Nick Bosa at No. 2
By Brad Weiss
The San Francisco 49ers took on the Oakland Raiders in a horrible Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 9, and easily dispatched of their Bay Area rival. San Francisco had to go with a third-string quarterback against the Raiders, but it did not matter, as Nick Mullens shredded the Silver and Black in a 34-3 victory.
Still, the 49ers have only two wins on the season, and because of that, figure to be drafting quite high in the 2019 NFL Draft. They do have a lot of holes on the roster, including in the secondary, where they should look to add an elite cornerback with such a high draft pick next April.
When it comes to the cornerback position, Andraez Williams is the best of the bunch, and is someone who should hear his name called towards the beginning of the first round. He has incredible cover skills, can come up and make big tackles, and has soft hands for a defensive back.
Richard Sherman is getting up there in age, and the 49ers need to find that shutdown cornerback that can lead the group once he is gone. This 49ers team has a ton of talent, and a defensive back as their general manager in John Lynch, so Greedy Williams makes a lot of sense for them at No. 3 overall.
