Although there is no way for Week 11 of college football to live up to the Week 10 hype, there is still plenty of action on the slate. Here is your guide to the best games of the week.

With Week 10 of college football being hyped up for weeks, other than the WVU/Texas thriller, it was largely disappointing. That said, I can say with confidence that Week 11 will reverse the trend and produce some tight games that fans will not want to miss.

In the Mountain West, Fresno State will hit the road for a game against Boise State on Friday night. With the Broncos Mountain West title hopes on the line, expect them to pull out all the tricks against a dominate Fresno State defense.

Ohio State will travel to Lansing for a game against Michigan State. The Buckeyes have not been playing like a Big Ten contender as of late and will hope to get their season back on track against the Spartans.

College Gameday will head north and make a rare stop at Boston College for their game against Clemson. Although this is arguably the biggest game for Boston College in the past decade, fans shouldn’t expect anything outside of another dominate Tiger performance.

Finally, The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry will take place when Auburn travels to face-off against Georgia. When the lights come on Saturday night, this game will showcase everything great about college football in the south.

Although these are four of the higher profile games of the week, college football has a lot to offer on Saturday. Don’t miss a minute of the action and expect to see some competitive games played across the country this weekend.

(23) Fresno State at Boise State – 10:15 pm Friday – ESPN2

Can Boise State keep their Mountain West conference championship hopes alive? The Broncos trail Utah State by one-game and have to win this weekend to have a shot at knocking off the Aggies in their season finally for the Mountain division crown.

Fresno State will look to control the game defensively, which has not been an issue for them this season. The Bulldogs have held opponents to an average of 12.3 points per game while racking up 15 interceptions in the process. Their dominate secondary has led this team to a Top 25 ranking but will face one of their toughest challenges yet against Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien.

Although Rypien will have his hands full against the Bulldogs defense, the biggest challenge for Boise State will be containing quarterback Marcus McMaryion. McMaryion is one of the best play-makers in the Mountain West and has the ability to beat teams with his arm or legs. The Junior quarterback will look to feed his star wide receiver KeeSean Johnson, who should be able to get free against the Broncos below average secondary.

Fresno State is simply the better team on both sides of the ball in this match-up and it should be apparent from the start. Boise State will show some signs of life at times, but the Bulldogs should easily cover the 3-point spread on the road.
