The 52nd annual Country Music Awards (CMA’s) are being held this Wednesday, November 14, and known as the biggest night in Country Music. The buildup begins today, with ABC airing the 10th anniversary of its pre-awards special, Country Music’s Biggest Stars: In The Spotlight, hosted by Robin Roberts.
The first version of the Country Music’s Biggest Stars: In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts special aired in 2009. Over the years it has featured exclusive interviews, some performances and a behind-the-scenes look at the daily life of some of Country Music’s biggest stars.
In the past, Roberts has featured (among others) stars such as Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood. The 2018 version of the special will include new interviews and performances from artists he has featured in the past, as well as some new ones. Presumably, some of these will also be appearing on (and nominated for) the actual awards to be awarded on Nov. 14. A full list of the nominations and categories can be found here.
The awards show will be hosted for the 11th year by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley and has quite a few performers slated to appear. The list of performers includes Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line with Bebe Rexha, Kacey Musgraves, Underwood and Keith Urban, among others.
