At this stage in the year any breakout performance is noteworthy for fantasy football purposes and a potential target.

This past week we saw several players step up and put themselves on the fantasy football radar. Two on this list are rookies who are finally starting to meet some of the hype that surfaced earlier in the year.

Most fantasy football leagues are at the stage where the trade deadline is fast approaching. This means there are some really tough decisions to be made.

However, you might be in a position to use one of this week’s breakout players as a trade chip. There are fantasy owners who will let one big performance have a major impact on their thinking. If you have one of these players on your roster you have some thinking to do.

It’s likely that if you were someone with Anthony Miller or Rashaad Penny on your bench that  you were expecting much out of either player moving forward. This week both enjoyed strong performances which created some change.

There are surely a few owners in your league that are desperate for help at wide receiver and running back. It makes sense to see who might need some depth and offer them a package including one of these two players.

This type of trade could potentially help you turn a RB2 into an RB1. It’s these type of trades that can push you over the hump and to a championship.

Overall, there weren’t many breakout performances for this week. This was especially the case when you look at fantasy value. The three on this week’s list offer some immediate help, but also bring some long-term potential.
