The streaking Denver Nuggets look to build on their rout of the Hawks on Saturday when they pay a visit the New Orleans Pelicans.

If the Denver Nuggets aren’t winning four straight games, they’re losing four straight. Hey, at least it’s consistency.

Denver will look to begin another winning streak when they pay a visit to an up-and-down New Orleans Pelicans team on Saturday night.

After dropping four straight games, including three in a row on a four-game homestand, the Nuggets (10-5) got back on the winning track in grand style, demolishing the lowly Atlanta Hawks 138-93 on Thursday. Juancho Hernangomez scored 25 points and Nikola Jokic added 12 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists as the Nuggets got back to playing fast and the Hawks simply couldn’t keep up in the Mile High air.

In fact, Denver is at its best when it’s playing a fast, loose brand of basketball. The Nuggets have a ton of offensive weapons, but they, at times, fall victim to a slower paced game, which largely contributed to their losing streak prior to their beatdown of the Hawks.

Now, the Nuggets will try to translate their fast-breaking style to the road, where they will open a three-game road jaunt in New Orleans to play a Pelicans team that is confusing everybody.

One night, the Pelicans could look like one of the West’s best teams, and the next night, they will play uninspired basketball. That is the best analogy to describe their last three games, as they dominated the Toronto Raptors in Toronto, played uninspired ball in a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and then, last night, allowed the lowly New York Knicks to hang around before pulling away for a 129-124 victory.

Anthony Davis was a monster against New York, going for 43 points and 17 rebounds as the Pelicans opened a three-game homestand. New Orleans has won three straight at home and will finish the homestand with a date against the road-weary San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 19.
