After starting the season 9-1, the Nuggets have dropped six of their last seven games with a big win over Atlanta as the only bright spot. Their problems are myriad and a fading defense has been a big reason they’ve appeared to lose track so quickly. However, even their vaunted offense has run into a rough patch.

Jamal Murray, Trey Lyles, Paul Millsap and Malik Beasley made just 29 percent of their 56 3-point attempts this week. Juan Hernangomez, Gary Harris and other were still shooting well but when some parts of their shooting rotation go cold, it constricts everything in the middle of the floor for Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets really need to get right at both ends of the floor if they’re going to recapture the magic they had at the beginning of the year.
