169. . 8-7. Previous: 22nd. Houston Rockets. 15. team

Things are finally looking up for the Houston Rockets. A 3-0 week, that included wins over both the Warriors and Nuggets, outscoring opponents by an average of 17.8 points per 100 possessions, is exactly what the doctor ordered. With the Carmelo Anthony era officially over, the Rockets offense looked as smooth as it has all season long. Chris Paul had been shooting under 35.0 percent on 3-pointers but canned 11-of-19 this week. Clint Capela was sensational, dunking everything in site.

However, more importantly, the Rockets defense looked much improved this week, holding the Nuggets, Warriors and Kings to 106.1 points per 100 possessions. Jeff Bzdelik has returned from his brief retirement and is back in charge of the defense, a move that is apparently already paying dividends.
