16. Dak Prescott (LW: 17)

Prescott suddenly looks like he could be a playoff-bound quarterback this year after the unfortunate and gruesome injury to Alex Smith. The Cowboys are 5-5 and taking on the Redskins this Thursday, with a chance to tie things up in the NFC East. If Prescott plays well down the stretch, Dallas is in business.

15. Carson Wentz (LW: 14)

Went simply doesn’t look comfortable in the pocket yet coming off that torn ACL and LCL. He should be fine over the long haul, but for right now, he looks uncertain and tentative. Against the Saints, Went threw three interceptions in the worst loss Philadelphia has taken under Doug Peterson.

14. Matthew Stafford (LW: 16)

Stafford is always a tough grade in this space, because the team around him either can’t run the ball, can’t block or can’t coach. Sometimes the Lions give us all three at once, but it’s a rare species. Detroit needs Stafford to basically be perfect to win and he knows it, leading to some unforced errors. Still, he’s a wonderful player.

13. Kirk Cousins (LW: 11)

Cousins drops down a division because he’s 0-3 in primetime this year, and frankly, he’s played awful football in two of those games. At some point, the $84 million man needs to step up and win a game against a good team for Minnesota, instead of simply facilitating the game.
