Whether it’s a classic rivalry, a battle for a spot in the conference championship, or a team looking to clinch a birth to the College Football Playoffs, Week 13 of college football has it all.

It’s the last week of the college football regular season, which always seems to come to fast. Next week, some of these teams will be playing in their conference championships, while others will be left out watching from the couch.

In the Pac-12, in-state rivals Washington and Washington State will face-off for the North division crown. The winner will move on to the Pac-12 Championship game next weekend and have the opportunity to secure a bid to the Rose Bowl.

There is a similar scenario playing out in the Big 12, which involves West Virginia and Oklahoma. The winner will advance to the Big 12 championship game and have the opportunity to clinch a slot in a New Years Six bowl.

Two of college footballs greatest rivalries will be played this weekend and neither looks to disappoint. In the Big Ten, Michigan will travel to play Ohio State and the winner will advance to the Big Ten championship, while Alabama and Auburn will play the 85th edition of the Iron Bowl.

Although playing for a spot in the conference championship raises the stakes, nothing compares to the pressure Notre Dame will feel when traveling to play Southern Cal on Saturday night. If the Fighting Irish can come away with a victory, they will nearly guarantee themselves a birth to the College Football Playoffs.

With Thanksgiving and this loaded slate of college football, it’s hard to imagine a better week for college football fans. I’d recommend saving some leftovers and spending the weekend on the couch watching all these must-see games.
