High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs NY – $11,100): Needs 49.5 fantasy points. Embiid had 54.4 fantasy points against the Nets on Nov. 25. Embiid is always good for big points and rebounds and I love the matchup against the Knicks. He dominated them last season, averaging 1.37 FPPM in four games. He takes his matchup with Enes Kanter personally and there’s no more dominating player in the league than petty Embiid. Diagnosis: High ceiling and the matchup is great and proven.

Nikola Vucevic (at POR – $9,500): Needs 42.3 fantasy points. Vucevic had 55.4 fantasy points against the Warriors on Nov. 26. He’s been great for the majority of this season and if Aaron Gordon can’t play, it means more offense will run through him. He had 47.7 fantasy points against the Blazers on Oct. 25. And if Nurkic doesn’t play, that makes his life easier. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a good matchup.

Enes Kanter (at PHI – $8,000): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. Kanter had 41.8 fantasy points against the Pistons on Monday night. The Knicks are on a back-to-back, which is a concern, but Kanter is a proven player as long as he gets the minutes. And he seems to hold his own against Embiid, at least when it comes to numbers. He averaged 1.27 FPPM against the Knicks last season. Diagnosis: Back-to-back is a concern, but if the minutes are there, the production will be there.
