Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Wednesday night . We have a 5 games slate to sink our teeth into after the huge 10 game slate on Tuesday. We get some of the highest scoring teams battling in San Jose in Toronto, and Pittsburgh is in Colorado on the second night of a back to back for both.

It is an interesting NHL DFS slate because we two games featuring some teams on the down side and then the two I mentioned with the high-powered offenses and then Dallas and Calgary featuring a good team and a not so good team.

NHL DFS Goalies

With there being some potential high scoring games I am going to most likely avoid those two games when it comes to goalies, especially the Penguins.

My top choice in net is actually Jake Allen from St. Louis. Allen actually has played well of late despite his season long GAA of 3.27 and a .896 SV%. Over his last 4 starts* (Allen replaced Johnson in the Blues 8-4 loss allowing 2 goals) Allen has only given 7 goals in those 4 starts and faces a Detroit team that, with the exception of their 7-5 loss to the Blue Jackets, has only scored 10 goals in their last 5.

If David Rittich gets the start against the Stars than he is my next pick for goalie on the evening. Rittich has out played Mike Smith on the season to date. Rittich has been red-hot allowing on 9 goals in his last 5 starts for a GAA under 2 and has won 4 of 5. Dallas has lost 3 of 4 and has only scored 4 goals in their 3 losses (they beat Ottawa 6-4 in their lone win)

Either goalie in the Anaheim and Florida game is a viable option as well for GPP’s.

NHL DFS Top Individual Plays

High Tier:

Evgenii Dadonov ($6.6K) – Dadonov, like the rest of his linemates, have been on fire of late. In his last 10 Evgenii has 2 goals and 6 assists averaging 3.2 FPPG during the last 10. Dadonov along with Mike Hoffman and Aleksander Barkov are one of the hottest lines in hockey, but will the star power on tonight’s they may fall through the cracks.

Johnny Gaudreau ($6.4K)- Johnny Hockey is has 10 points in his last 10 games while averaging over 19 minutes TOI per game. Gaudreau plays on the Flames top line and top PP unit. Like the line above Gaudreau is an under rated player in this league and may go low owned on a night like tonight but he has the ability to put up a 4 point night and he could win you a big tourney

Brent Burns ($6.2K) – Burnsy has been quiet by his standards this season but he seems to be starting to pick it up of late. Over the last 10 games Burns has 8 assists while averaging 4 FPPG.

Mid Tier:

Dylan Larkin ($5.7K) – Larkin is having an ok year this year on a bad Red Wings team. Over his last 10 Larkin has 3 goals and 3 assists as well as playing over 22 minutes TOI. Larkin centers the Wings top line and top PP unit.

Elias Lindholm ($5.5K ) – Like his line mate mentioned above Lindholm is a top option for tonight picking up 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 5 games for the Flames while playing alongside Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.

More from FanSided

Aaron Ekblad ($4.5K) – After an extremely slow start to the season in which he only scored 2 points in his first 12, but over the last Ekblad has 4 goals and 3 assists.

Low Tier:

Alexander Kerfoot ($4.1K) – Finally Colorado is getting some secondary scoring and Kerfoot has stepped up as the best of the secondary players. Over the Av’s last ten games Kerfoot has 3 goals and 7 assists while 3 FPPG and only playing 14 minutes TOI

Dennis Cholowski ($4K) – I am not putting Cholo on here for his recent performance, only 4 points in his last 10, he is here because he has the ability to put up multiple points but also takes a ton of shots and blocks shots as well and could give you 4-5 points without scoring

Joe Thornton ($3.5K) – Jumbo Joe may be heading towards the end of his career but he is still playing at a high level. He has six points in the Sharks last 10 and is still playing 15 minutes TOI per game.

NHL DFS Line Stacks

I am not going to tell you about the top lines you already know to play

Colorado 1, Pittsburgh 1 & 2, Toronto 1 & 2 …

I am going to give you couple of lines you may not be thinking about on a stacked small slate

Anaheim 2 – Nick RitchieAdam HenriqueOndrej KaseBoth Ritchie and Kase are young players and the future of the Ducks along with Rickard Rakelland along with Henrique have been some of the best players for the Ducks of late

Dallas 2 – Roope HintzJason SpezzaDevin ShoreThis is more of a mini stack with Hintz and Shore for me. Shore has 4 goals and 4 assists in the last 10 and Hintz has a goal and an assist in the last 3 games.
