Fantasy Football, Week 13: High value plays for DraftKings
By Dylan Broady
Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $3,700
Stats: 185 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns (10 games)
Cameron Brate has been Jameis Winston’s favorite target since the two started playing together. Brate in his 10 games played has scored four times. His numbers and averages don’t add up to how big of a role he fills for this offense. Brate has a high target share and volume as long as Winston is under center.
Week 12 was good to Brate as he caught three balls for 26 receiving yards and a touchdown in a much-needed win against the San Francisco 49ers. Looking ahead Brate has another good matchup in Week 13 and comes at a good price. Tampa Bay will host the Carolina Panthers this Sunday who are 22nd-ranked defensively.
Brate saw three games in a row where he found paydirt to begin the season. Last week was his first touchdown since Week 6. He has all the potential to be a great fantasy asset down the stretch now that Winston seems to have his starting role back for good. Brate’s price tag is really good as well. He is the 13th-most expensive tight end on DraftKings.
Next: Best NFL player from each state
The Panthers defense hasn’t been anything to worry about as they have allowed 356 total yards, 260 passing yards, 96 rushing yards and 25 points per game to opposing offenses this season. The Buccaneers allow 30 points per game so this has the makings of an old west shootout. Look for Brate and Winston to get off to a hot start and build on their Week 12 victory.
Prediction: 85 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
