This weekend, Disney will continue its rather impressive slate of Christmas and Holiday themed shows and specials with Disney Parks Presents a 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Party.

This particular special is unique because it will provide a behind-the-scenes look at one of the upcoming attractions at the Disney Hollywood Studios. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will open in 2019, allowing visitors to step into the world of Disney Pixar’s Cars. But they can get an early look in this TV special.

"… face-to-face with racing legend Lightning McQueen, who is excited to showcase what he’s learned over the years with you – the next generation of rookie racers. Of course, as Lightning McQueen has discovered throughout his career, things don’t always go according to plan, and he has to think fast to get back on course. With friends Tow Mater, Cruz Ramirez and the gang from Radiator Springs on his side, Lightning gears up for the challenge."

The special is a half-hour event hosted by Jordan Fisher, as well as Disney stars Ruby Rose Turner and Dakota Lotus. It will feature appearances and performances from a number of well-known Disney Channel stars, including Kylee Russell, Meg Donnelly, Sadie Stanley, and Sean Giambrone. All are performers who have appeared previously on the Disney Channel, in either regular TV shows or original movies. But the appearances won’t be limited to that list, so be sure to tune in to catch all the performances. Or watch it online.
