High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Myles Turner (at SAC – $5,900): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Turner was down to 16 fantasy points against the Lakers on Nov. 29. Maybe the schedule finally caught up with him and he’ll be better on Saturday, but he’s always been an inconsistent player with a high ceiling. He’ll need to be better against the Kings and I have my concerns due to his inconsistency. But if Sabonis is out, more chances will be there. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a high ceiling and a good matchup.

Serge Ibaka (at CLE – $5,800): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. Ibaka had 27.5 fantasy points against the Warriors on Nov. 29. His scoring has been there, but his rebounding numbers are down. That should change against the Cavaliers as they present plenty of rebounding opportunities. The only concern is a lack of minutes. But he’ll produce for as many minutes as he does end up playing. Diagnosis: A blowout looms, which limits his ceiling. But he’s reliable at this salary.

Markieff Morris (vs BKN – $5,700): Needs 26.3 fantasy points. Morris was absolute yikes on Friday as he finished with just 10.25 fantasy points. I’m going to call it an off night and trust him to be better on Saturday. The shots are there, but in the words of Carmelo Anthony, you can’t control if the ball goes in. Morris should be able to bounce back in a big way given the opponent on Saturday. Diagnosis: Matchup is good. Trust him to bounce back.
