NBA Power Rankings: The Raptors are standing on top

The Lakers have continued to inch towards better playoff position in the West and healthy scoring totals from Brandon Ingram have helped. However, there are still a lot of concerning numbers in his statistical profile. He’s made just 32.4 percent of his 3s this season, including a frustrating 31.7 percent of his catch-and-shoot attempts. Being able to space the floor is a crucial component for role players around LeBron but Ingram hasn’t been up to the task so far.
In fact, Ingram is shooting just 43.7 percent from the field and 19.2 percent on 3s when on the floor with LeBron, averaging more turnovers than assists. When he’s on the floor without LeBron, his per-36 minute stat line is a robust 27.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists, shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 75.0 percent on 3s. Lakers fans could take this as glass-half-empty or glass-half-full — their best young prospect is struggling next to their best player, but that also leaves a lot of room for upside if they figure it out.
