2019 NFL Mock Draft: Jets land N’Keal Harry
By Brad Weiss
The New York Giants pulled off a fantastic victory on Sunday, as they played host to the Chicago Bears inside Metlife Stadium. Of course, the Bears were playing without starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky again, despite the fact that he was cleared to play against the G-Men in Week 13.
While the Giants did blow their big lead, and have to go to overtime, they still got the victory, which was their third in four tries. They have been winning games, and Eli Manning has looked a lot better under center, which could lead the team to roll with him as their starting quarterback again in 2019.
Whether or not Manning is the starter in 2019, this Giants team needs a succession plan behind him, and Justin Herbert from Oregon is the best quarterback this draft class has to offer. While he has not declared early for the draft, and some believe he won’t declare at all, he has to be the first arm off the board in April.
New York has elite talent at the skill positions, as running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. are two of the best in the game at what they do. Herbert could be the long-term successor to Manning in New York, and after two Super Bowl MVPs, Manning has etched his name in the history of New York sports.
