FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 5, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Russell Westbrook (at BKN – $11,00): Needs 46 fantasy points. Westbrook’s numbers have been down in recent games due to the Thunder rolling over some teams. The Nets might be another blowout victim, but the Thunder are due for a down game against a weak opponent. And the Nets are scrappy and find ways to hang around. As long as Westbrook gets over 30 minutes, he’ll produce a big game. But if you’re worried about the blowout, you can look elsewhere. Diagnosis: Always reliable, except in blowouts.
John Wall (at ATL – $9,400): Needs 39.3 fantasy points. It’s the Hawks. If any team should be taken advantage of, that isn’t the Suns, it’s the Hawks. The Wizards defense is a mess, but their offense is good enough to run through the Hawks. And the good news is that their defense is so bad that the Hawks might be able to hang around long enough to keep Wall on the floor longer. Diagnosis: He’ll produce given the matchup. No questions asked.
Mike Conley (vs LAC – $9,100): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. Conley was down to 35.9 fantasy points against the Sixers on Dec. 2. His assist numbers were down, but I’m not too concerned. Those numbers will be back up against the Clippers. And he’ll continue to get points and rebounds. The matchup is good and Conley was hot prior to the Sixers game. I’ll chalk it up to an off-night and expect better. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back. He’s earned it and the matchup is good.
