NHL DFS Man Advantage Wednesday December 5th
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Wednesday night December 5th. Tonight we have a small 3 game slate to delve in to tonight. This slate starts a little later than usually with a 8 EST lock time tonight so you get some extra time to tinker with your lineups.
First I want to congratulate the city of Seattle on being named the newest expansion team into the NHL! We have some potential low scoring NHL DFS games for tonight with 2 of the 3 have projected goal totals at 5.5. With such a small slate I will just give you a few of the best plays and a couple of lines for tonight.
NHL DFS NHL Goalies
My top goalie on the night is John Gibson ($8.4K) of Anaheim. Gibson has a 2.58 GAA and .927 SV% which are much better numbers than they were earlier this season after their hot start. Gibson gets a Blackhawk team who has lost 6 of 7 and are only averaging 3 gpg.
Whether it’s Aaron Dell or Martin Jones they are both my second option in net against the Hurricanes. Carolina has lost 3 of the last 4 and only scored 4 goals total in their last 4.
NHL DFS Top Individual Plays
Connor McDavid ($8.1K) – McDavid was a late scratch with the flu in the Oilers last game on Monday night. If McDavid is healthy, and it seems he is, is a great play, as usual, against a bad St. Louis team. In his last 9 games McDavid has 4 goals and 8 assists. I also like pairing McDavid up with Leon Draisaitl (6.9K) as a nice mini stack

Brent Burns ($7.1K) – Burnsy is currently on a 4 game point streak (1 g and 4 a ) while also averaging 5 FPPG during that stretch. Besides his point streak Burns is also the Sharks leader in points (29) and assists (25).
Logan Couture ($6.4K) – In 28 games Couture has 26 points for San Jose which is second on the team behind Burns. Couture centers the Sharks second line alone with Kevin Labanc ($4.6) and Tomas Hertl ($5.3K). If I was going to pair Couture with only one line mate it would be Labanc, one for his price, and but he has also produced better fantasy numbers of late as well.
Hampus Lindholm ($5.7K) – Lindholm has been the most fantasy relevant and consistent defenseman for the Ducks of late. Hampus has points in back to back games (1 goal and 2 assists) and has picked up 29 fantasy points in his last 6 games.
Andrei Svechnikov ($4.7K) – Svechnikov has been moved up to the second line for the Hurricanes which has led to some more production. With 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 6, and led to 22 fantasy points.
Joel Edmundson ($3.7) – For his price Edmundson could really open up your team for some of the top guys. Over his last 4, Edmundson has 2 assists and 12 fantasy points in the last 4 as well.
NHL DFS Top Stacks
Anaheim 1 – Pontus Aberg – Ryan Getzlaf – Rickard Rakell : Anaheim’s top line has 6 of the teams 11 goals over the previous 3 games as well as 7 assists.
St. Louis 3 – Vladimir Tarasenko – Tyler Bozak – Patrick Maroon: This line could easily be the Blues top line, and probably should be.
