FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Rudy Gobert (vs HOU – $9,800): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. Gobert has been trending down and was at 44 fantasy point against the Spurs on Dec. 4. But he only played 29 minutes in the blowout. He should get big minutes in this one, but this typically isn’t his matchup. He simply seems to struggle against the Rockets and despite his recent play, I can’t trust him 100 percent. He’ll get numbers, but it may not be enough to justify the salary. Diagnosis: High ceiling and red-hot, but just can’t seem to put it together against Houston. Because of that, he’s a slight risk.
Clint Capela (at UTA – $9,100): Needs 40.7 fantasy points. Capela earned his money with his play against the Jazz in the playoffs last season. He’s been solid in recent games and is typically good for points and rebounds due to Houston’s style of play. This salary feels a tad too high and it seems to be the guards who deliver in these matchups. Diagnosis: I like him better than Gobert, but not by much.
Jusuf Nurkic (vs PHO – $8,500): Needs 38 fantasy points. Nurkic was down to 28.7 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Dec. 4. But this is the Suns. Even in limited minutes, and his minutes might be limited, he’s going to put up solid scoring and rebounding numbers to go along with some defensive plays. He hasn’t shown a high ceiling recently and his minutes will probably keep him from that on Thursday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a great matchup. More reliable than Capela or Gobert, but the ceiling isn’t as high.
