Some big upsets should lead to changes in the Week 6 AP Top 25.

Another week of college basketball madness has come and passed. The AP Top 25 is ever-changing and the shuffling in the rankings didn’t stop in Week 5 as a number of top teams dropped, including a couple in the top 10.

On top of that, the rankings should see a couple of new teams in the polls. Actually, it will see a couple of return visitors who spent time earlier in the season in the AP Top 25.

Some top teams suffered scares in Week 5 as Michigan nearly fell on the road against Big Ten foe Northwestern, surviving 62-60. Gonzaga, too, survived a scare against the Washington Huskies, coming back to beat them by two at home. Kansas smacked Wofford early in the week but then struggled against New Mexico State and escaped by three points. That’s seven total points that stood between the top five and a disastrous week.

There were some ranked battles that affected the rankings, including a headliner to end the week between the Zags and No. 7 Tennessee. Michigan State and Iowa battled in a conference showdown and Nevada came back to beat Arizona State in a Friday night bout.

We will see plenty of change this week as we near the start of conference play to end the regular season. It’s hard to believe we are less than three months away from March Madness.

Here’s what the Week 6 AP Top 25 should look like come Monday afternoon.
