Players costing $6,250 or under

Jonas Valanciunas (vs MIL – $5,300): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Valanciunas has been over 35 fantasy points in his last two games. However, he had just 15.75 fantasy points against the Bucks on Oct. 29. When the minutes are there, the production is usually there. I just don’t know if the minutes will be there. Brook Lopez is a more reliable option who should get more minutes. I’m grouping them together to make sure you’re paying attention. Diagnosis: A risk, but a really high ceiling.

Derrick Favors (at SA – $5,100): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Favors had 41.5 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 6. His role increased following the ejection to Gobert. The good news is that he had 25.25 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. His minutes have been down this season, but he’s at a solid enough salary given his typically production. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and matchup.

Cody Zeller (at NY – $4,00): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Zeller is typically reliable. He’s hit value in 79 percent of games this season. The minutes are typically there and he can do a bit of everything. Most importantly, it’s the Knicks. Always take advantage of the Knicks. They aren’t good and they are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable and against the Knicks.
