Players costing $6,250 or under

Joe Ingles (at SA – $5,900): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. Ingles has been over 30 fantasy points in the last two games and he’s done it in under 30 minutes both times. He had 33.75 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. I suspect that the Jazz won’t blowout the Spurs again, but the possibility is there with the Spurs defense and the Jazz beginning to figure things out. Diagnosis: Good salary, high ceiling, great matchup.

Danny Green (vs MIL – $4,000): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. Green was down to 10 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 7. He’s inconsistent not not exactly reliable, but it’s a slow night and this feels like a game where Green makes an impact. If nothing else, the minutes are there, which means the opportunities are there. Role players usually step up in these big games. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but I have a gut feeling that Green will provide good value in this one.

Patty Mills (vs UTA – $3,900): Needs 17.8 fantasy points. Mills had 23.25 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 7. He had just 12.75 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4, but the Spurs got ran out of the building and no one exactly played well for them. The minutes and shots are typically there for Mills, which is the good news. He’s always at a good cost. Diagnosis: Low-cost and fairly reliable. Should get you at least value.
