The top-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs face another massive test on Sunday as they show down with the seventh-ranked Tennessee Volunteers in Phoenix.

In past years when the Gonzaga Bulldogs have been atop the college basketball rankings, many have questioned their strength of schedule. That’s not the case for Rui Hachimura and the Zags this year, however, as they’ve already passed a bevy of big tests. On Sunday, they’ll face another as they meet up with the seventh-ranked Tennessee Volunteers in Phoenix.

The aforementioned Hachimura has been a stud for Gonzaga this season, but he’ll be tested in this matchup against Tennessee facing the likes of Grant Williams at forward. These are two of the best and most impactful veteran players in college basketball in the 2018-19 season, so seeing them clash should be a treat.

This veteran Gonzaga team, as mentioned, has already been tested several times. With wins over Duke, Washington and Creighton already to their credit, Tennessee looks like just another notch on their belt. However, Hachimura, Josh Perkins and Brandon Clarke still must rise up to the task at hand once again.

As for Tennessee, they have just one loss on the season, falling in an overtime thriller to Kansas, which is hardly a black mark on their résumé. Even still, Williams, Admiral Schofield and Jordan Bone will need to be at their best on Sunday afternoon if they have a chance of knocking off the No. 1 team in the country.
