Hopefully, you’ll be able to catch all of college football’s bowl season, but if not, here is a ranking of every bowl game based on watchability.

So many bowl games, but which ones are worth your time and attention?

Over the years, the number of college football bowl games has been on a steady rise and now sits at 40 games (39 bowls, plus the National Championship Game). To give you an idea of the sharp increase, in 1997 there were 20 college football bowl games, so as you can see, that number has doubled over the past 21 years.

Due to the increase in bowl games, the on-field product is not always something all college football fans want to watch. For example, if we look back at 1997 again, the worst bowl game was the Las Vegas Bowl, which feature No. 23 Air Force (10-3) and Oregon (7-5), but now we have games featuring Baylor (6-6) and Vanderbilt (6-6).

That is in no way a knock on either of these programs, but many will tell you that no team with a .500 record should be playing in a bowl game.

Therefore, to help fellow college football fans pick and choose what bowl games are worth watching, I have comprised this list ranking all 40 college football bowl games based on watchability.

To get things started, we will take a look at Florida International and Toledo, who will be playing in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl.

39. Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl – FIU vs. Toledo

After losing to Northern Illinois, Toledo has been on a roll offensively, which I don’t expect to change when they play Florida International in the Bahamas Bowl. Head coach Butch Davis has done a tremendous job turning around the FIU program, but the last time he faced a team of Toledo’s caliber, FAU blew out the FIU on their home turf.
