The Kansas City Chiefs have a pivotal matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night. Hopefully they’ll have the fastest man in the NFL on the field.

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off of victory against the Baltimore Ravens that took every ounce of will to win. That game also extracted a physical toll on a couple of key offensive players as well.

Running back Spencer Ware went down before halftime before returning to the game. So did wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Hill actually suffered a wrist injury earlier in the game and returned. He then suffered a heel injury that had to be taped up before he returned in the second half.

Even after returning it was evident that his foot was bothering Hill the entire second half. He gutted it out and came up with the crucial catch on fourth-and-9 to keep the game-tying drive alive. Hill originally said after the game that his foot was hurt bad, but after more testing on Monday it seems his foot isn’t hurt as bad as he thought.

Hill is now considered day-to-day which is probably not the phrase Chiefs fans want to hear, but it’s better than him being ruled out for Thursday night’s game. Obviously it would be of great benefit for the Chiefs to have one of their biggest weapons on the field.

Historically, he’s terrorized the Chargers. In five career games against them, Hill has a total of seven touchdowns including two punt return scores. Back in Week 1 he went off for seven catches and 169 yards to go with two touchdowns. He also added a punt return for a touchdown as well.

If the Chiefs win it’ll be their third consecutive AFC West title, and will have home field advantage in the playoffs all but secured with two games to go after Thursday. This week is a huge week for the Chiefs.

Hill probably won’t be 100 percent should he suit up on Thursday, but given the success he’s had against them let’s just say the Chargers wouldn’t mind him sitting this one out.
