College football bowl season is here, and we’ve got predictions for every 2018 bowl game, from the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl to the National Championship.

Only four teams are both good enough and fortunate enough to make it into the College Football Playoff annually. Those four teams are the only ones that have a shot at winning a National Championship in a given year. Subsequently, though every program would surely aim to make it into the Playoff, the odds of that happening simply aren’t that likely.

As such, the goal of many teams throughout the country in college football is to both make it to a bowl game and, of course, pick up a win in the lone postseason matchup that they’ll play. Sure, not all bowl games are created equal and none of them compare to making the CFP, but ending the season with a win is far better than the alternative.

With that, college football bowl season is set to get underway on Saturday, Dec. 15. Starting with the Cure Bowl between the Tulane Green Wave and Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns and going all the way through the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday, Jan. 7, we’re going to see 40 bowl games be played throughout the country in bowl season. And the results shall surely be highly entertaining.

Over the course of these 40 bowl games, there are undeniably quality matchups and others that are most certainly less so. While that may be the case, that doesn’t mean that these teams will try any less harder to try and pick up the win in their bowl game. That’s even the case with teams that will be missing critical parts of their team as players skip bowl games in the interest of preparing for the NFL Draft.

This all, of course, leads to unpredictability and volatility in college football bowl season. That won’t stop us from trying to make sense of it all, however. And with that, we’ll make predictions for every 2018-19 college football bowl game.
