The Cure Bowl is the first of 39 bowl games for the 2018-2019 bowl season and fans will want to make sure they tune in to get their college football fix.

You can throw out the records when Tulane and Louisiana meet on the gridiron.

The first bowl game of the bowl season will serve as the first of five games on Saturday, Dec. 15 as college football die-hard fans return to their couches for a somewhat full day of games. Now, it won’t compare with the normal Saturdays during the season, but for Tulane and Louisiana fans, the Cure Bowl represents a chance to end their season on a high note and go into the offseason with some momentum and hope that the 2019 season will bear more fruit.

Tulane went 6-6 on the year but fared well in the American Athletic West division with a 5-3 record, the same record as Houston and Memphis, who played in the conference championship game vs. UCF. The Green Wave come in hot as winners of the last five to close out their year.

They’re led offensively by senior quarterback Justin McMillan who has a pair of three-touchdown games in his last three games. Running back Darius Bradwell enters with 984 yards and nine touchdowns. Look for Tulane to get him over the 1,000-yard mark early and into the end zone to give him double-digit scores.

Tulane has struggled to defend the pass, which is good news for Louisiana quarterback Andre Nunez who has had some highs this season but has also been hampered by interceptions. Nunez threw 12 interceptions this year, including eight of them in the last six games. If Nunez can keep the ball to his teammates, that bodes well for Louisiana, who should feed running back Trey Ragas who is coming off a pair of 100-yard games to close the year.
