Week 7 will see plenty of movement in college basketball’s AP Top 25.

The most dreaded time of year is upon college basketball’s student-athletes as not only are we in a lull of games — most teams played just once in Week 6 while others didn’t play at all — but it’s also finals time for most schools.

Luckily, the stress of preparing for big games isn’t an issue for most teams as this is the perfect time to schedule those cupcakes and make finals week that much easier on these student-athletes. Unfortunately, some teams had a tougher time putting away these “cupcake” teams in Week 6 as there were a number of near-upsets.

Starting near the top of the AP Top 25, Nevada struggled with South Dakota State and Auburn and UAB needed overtime to decide a winner. Ohio State held off Bucknell at home by just two points and Villanova lost to Penn before ending the week with a defeat against No. 1 Kansas — the Wildcats have four losses already this season and had that amount all of last year.

Arizona State kept its composure in a slim win over Georgia on the road, Houston held off a tough LSU team and Indiana nailed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to down Butler.

Despite the games not being plentiful in Week 6, the action was enticing. No one expected this many close contests with the slate of games we saw, but college basketball is always crazy, and it’s not even March yet.

What will the Week 7 AP Top 25 look like when it’s released on Monday afternoon?
