High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (at CHI – $6,400): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Allen had 24.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Tuesday. He’s been trending down, but he gets decent minutes and has a habit of just making plays. The matchup is good as the Bulls are last against the position. And Allen has shown a high ceiling this season. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a good matchup and high ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs NO – $5,700): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Lopez has been over 30 fantasy points in three straight and four of his last five. He’s settled into his role in Milwaukee and is delivering with his scoring and rebounding. With the Pelicans hurting in the frontcourt, this is a great opportunity for him to deliver another big game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a great matchup and good ceiling.

Cody Zeller (vs CLE – $5,500): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. You know what you’re getting from Zeller. He’s hit value in 71 percent of games and he’s flashed a high ceiling. The matchup is good because it’s the Cavaliers on a back-to-back. And the Hornets can’t play any worse than how they played against the Lakers on Dec. 15. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
