The Pittsburgh Steelers really let their season fade away late in the 2018 campaign, losing to the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Oakland Raiders down the stretch. In fact, this is a team looking to be more in turmoil, rather than moving in the right direction, as they benched star wideout Antonio Brown for the season finale.

On Sunday, Pittsburgh needed the Cleveland Browns to upset the Baltimore Ravens to make it into the playoffs, but Baker Mayfield ran out of magic on the final drive. The loss sent the Steelers home for the playoffs, which turned out to be one of the more surprising revelations of the 2018 NFL season.

With Le’Veon Bell gone, and Brown being rumored to be out the door, the Steelers could have a completely different look next season. Sure, Ben Roethlisberger is going to be back, but this team has a lot of stuff going on inside their locker room that needs to be sorted out if they are every going to go back to being a contender in the AFC North.

The Steelers defense was very inconsistent in 2018, and it would be wise for them to bring in someone who can be a leader in the middle at the linebacker spot. Mack Wilson from Alabama is one of the best middle linebackers in college football, and is definitely a guy who demands respect, which would be a perfect addition to this young, and talented Steelers defense.
