Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 23. player. 36.

The Seattle Seahawks were not supposed to do much this season, as they had a bunch of personnel turnover this past offseason, and saw a lot of their veteran leaders leave the organization. With so much money invested in Russell Wilson, the team has struggled to keep their talent around, and the expectation was that they would finish towards the bottom of the NFC West in 2018.

However, Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll were having nothing to do with that narrative, and after starting out a bit slow, they ended the season with a Wild Card berth. It was a true team effort on both sides of the ball, and now they will try to continue their improbable season with a Wild Card Round matchup against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend.

Seattle has long been built around having a strong defense, and while they lost some veteran talent this offseason, they are still very good on that side of the ball. One area where they could stand to improve in in the interior of the defensive line, and Dexter Lawrence from Clemson would be a nice grab at No. 23 overall.

Lawrence had to sit out the College Football Playoff, as he tested positive for a banned substance prior to the National Semifinal game against Notre Dame. Still, it should not affect his draft status, and while it may be later in round one than was expected, landing in Seattle would be a best-case scenario for the bruising defensive tackle for the Tigers.
