DFS NBA Main Slate Top 5: Thursday, January 3rd – Cash Games

James Harden $11,000 DK $13,000 FD

Harden has been an absolute monster as of late.  With the injuries of Chris Paul, James Ennis, and Eric Gordon the Rockets are once again going to be relying heavily on Harden.  This game is currently projected as the second highest on the slate, if the Rockets are going to keep it close it will be because of another beastly game from The Beard.

Harden has not produced under 58 DKFP the last nine games, recently going for 82, 71.25, 60 and 64.5 DKFP the last four games. He has 43.4% usage rate the last five games, of which Houston has not lost. I will be finding ways to fit Harden in majority of cash game builds.

Clint Capela $6,900 DK $8,600 FD

Like Harden, Capela has been on fire lately. The last five games Capela produced 37.6, 23.9, 46.6, 52.1, and 51.6 DKFP.  This game is going to be nationally televised on TNT allowing players to showcase their abilities to a larger audience, I believe Harden and Capela are going to be just a few of those players.

If the Rockets are going to stay close it will be because of a heavy dose of Capela and Harden. I will be pairing them in my cash games, especially with the heavily discounted price they both have on DK.

Klay Thompson $6,100 DK $7,400 FD

Thompson is in a great match-up to showcase his shooting ability tonight. Last three games Thompson produced 25.25, 42.5 and 36.5 DKFP shooting 5-of-13, 12-of-21, and 6-of-19. The last five games he is carrying a 21.4% usage rate.

Last game at home versus the Rockets, Thompson produced 56.2 DKFP shooting 13-of-23.  With his current discount on Draftkings I will be loading him up with Harden and Capela and hoping this game stays in check.

DFS NBA Main Slate Top 5: Thursday, January 3rd – GPP Plays

LaMarcus Aldridge $7,400 DK $9,000 FD

Last four games, LMA produced 55.75, 52.75, 43.25 and 37 DKFP shooting 13-of-23, 14-of-23, 11-of-22, and 13-of-19. LMA leads his team with a 29% usage rate the last five games. With the news of Rudy Gay unlikely to play, LMA should have more time and usage to solidify his production.

More from FanSided

Toronto is currently giving up the 3rd most points to Power Forwards the last five games, setting LMA for another prosperous night. Last four games versus Toronto, LMA produced 45.5, 37.5, 34.25, and 44 DKFP.

Paul Millsap $5,200 DK $6,200 FD

Millsap increased his playing time last game to over 22 minutes and produced 34.25 DKFP shooting 6-of-13. This game currently sits as the highest total on the slate and should be a close one.

Millsap could potentially see more minutes tonight versus the Kings and could easily outproduce his salary. Last four games versus the Kings, Millsap produced 25.75, 23.25, 33.75 and 41 DKFP.  If this game does stay close look for Millsap to have another solid outing.
