Melvin Gordon documented an Uber ride in Baltimore on Saturday, and the driver went on to declare the Chargers will lose to the Ravens on Sunday.

This year’s case for home field going to the team with the better record in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs is the Los Angeles Chargers, who finished 12-4 but will travel to take on the Baltimore Ravens (10-6) on Sunday.

The Chargers are probably more road-ready than a lot of teams in these playoffs though, as they play home games in a soccer stadium that is regularly filled out by the opposing team’s fans. They also have a notable experience advantage under, with Philip Rivers playing the 10th postseason game of his career as Lamar Jackson will of course be making his playoff debut.

The Chargers ground game is led by running back Melvin Gordon (885 yards and 10 touchdowns during the regular season), who returned from a multi-game absence in the Week 16 loss the Ravens.

Gordon took an Uber ride in Baltimore on Saturday, and documented the trash talk that was going on. The driver declares the Chargers will lose on Sunday, while ripping Rivers and Ravens (now backup) quarterback Joe Flacco.

The best part is when Gordon keeps repeating how much he likes the running back the Chargers have, referring to himself by name. The driver is clearly unaware who he’s talking to, even with Gordon’s dreadlocks on full display to perhaps give himself away to a fairly astute football fan.

The conversation was light and football-focused, as the driver declares he’s from Texas while admitting he’s playing to his local audience by talking up the Ravens.

Gordon revealed himself, which the driver wanted proof of (and presumably got). Gordon gave the driver an autograph and it appears they took a selfie together, so all’s well that ends well. For what it’s worth, with a nod only to home field, Baltimore is a narrow favorite on Sunday.
